SAF Engineering Academic Scholarship (SEAS)

The SAF Engineering Academic Scholarship (Open/Local) grants aspiring military engineers a full sponsorship of their academic studies at overseas/local universities.

Eligibility criteria
Is there a bond?

This scholarship will equip you with a world-class education and training to spearhead in-depth engineering studies, as well as design and operationalise high-end technological capabilities for the SAF.

Note: The eligibility period for all mid-term applicants is from the start of your undergraduate studies till within 6 months after graduation.

What it covers

  • Monthly salary for the duration of studies

  • Full tuition fees and other approved academic charges

  • Return airfare (for overseas scholars)

Eligibility criteria

  • Singapore citizens or permanent residents intending to take up citizenship

  • Good GCE 'A' Level or International Baccalaureate results, Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent

  • Good co-curricular activities (CCA) records and strong leadership qualities

  • Qualify for and excel in Officer Cadet School

  • Possess a strong interest in a military career

Is there a bond?

The bond will be for 4 years (local undergraduate studies) or 6 years (overseas undergraduate studies), and will commence immediately upon graduation and return to service.
